Besides eating a diet including vegetables, fruit, and whole grains, Harvard researchers have more tips for taking care of your brain.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Stay physically active, which means participating in moderate exercise at least three time each week
- Maintain a good social life, keeping up contact with friends and new activities
- Keep learning
- Use all your senses
- Repeat and write down what you want to remember
- Get seven to eight hours of sleep each night
- Limit alcohol
- Don’t smoke
