Pinnacle is a Geocache site and is also recognized on the place-based education program Vital Communities Valley Quest, that

The Palisades. Fairlee, VT.
This picnic
spot comes with a bit of hike but is a local favorite for a reason! The 1.1
mile trail summits at stunning rock cliffs that overlook the Fairlee Town
Center and iconic Fairlee Bridge. The Palisades is another special place
recognized on Valley Quest. This picnic spot is ideal for bird watchers
who can see tons of Peregrine falcons who make their nests on the cliffs!

This large park is dog
friendly and is often a meet up spot for doggie playdates. There is also
an easy kayak and boat launch point for water sports of all kinds. Large
groups and family picnics can enjoy cooking out on the grills and sharing
a meal on the picnic tables by the water. Plenty of parking, trails to
hike and space to throw a blanket down!

At the heart of
Hanover and Dartmouth College, this 5-acre green is a great picnic spot to
grab some to-go from the area’s many restaurants and park yourself in the
sun. Popular among students and community members alike this is an ideal
location to toss a frisbee, kick a ball, or read a book.
