3 Places to Sled (or Tube) In and Around Woodstock
Mt Tom Sledding Hill
Just north of Billings Farm & Museum on Route 12 in Woodstock, all you need to do is bring your sled or tube. Free to the public. This is perfect for little kids or beginners alike.
Quechee Sledding Hill
You can speed down the Quechee Sledding Hill located next to the Quechee Ski Hill. Sled paths are groomed within the fenced area during the day, conditions permitting of course and free to the public.
Mt. Ascutney State Park
Just a quick trip from Woodstock Mt. Ascutney State Park has plenty of winter activities, including sledding; other activities include ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing. Sledding is free to the public. For more information on parking and hot spots to look for, click here.
