A local hiking group with over 200 members is looking for people who want to hike the trails and mountain tops of New England. The Mountains are Calling Hiking Group out of Claremont, N.H. is a group with the goal "to enjoy what the mountains have to offer".

Most members are 50+ years old and membership is limited to ensure the right group sizes for each hike and to avoid long wait lists. Whether it be a day hike or a backpacking trip through the White Mountains, they like to stop to enjoy the views and take pictures.

Recent events include Gregory’s Penultimate Belknap Redline - Gunstock, Belknap, and Piper traverse; Mt. Hedgehog, Pine Mountain (Gorham); and Velvet Rocks Hanover Center Trails.
