The 2022 Upper Valley Leadership Award Winners Were Announced on May 17
May 26, 2022 04:49PM ● By Virginia DeanAt a garden party under a tent from 5:30-7:30 p.m., The Upper Valley Business Alliance announced the 2022 Upper Valley Leadership Awards winners on May 17, recognizing nine exemplary businesses and individuals who have demonstrated leadership in their local communities.
The annual event took place at the Dowd’s Country Inn & Event Center in Lyme, N.H. and was sponsored by Mascoma Community Bank, Ameriprise, Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, Ledyard, Claremont Savings Bank, and Liberty Utilities.

Jon Hunt, Whaleback Mountain - Innovator of the Year
An individual that has shown creative progress and significant contribution in their field.
King Arthur Baking Company - Large Business of the Year
A local company or organization with at least 150 employees has demonstrated significant contributions to the Upper Valley.
The Norwich Bookstore - Small Business Innovator of the Year
A local company or organization with no more than 149 employees that has demonstrated significant contributions to the Upper Valley.
Meagan Henry, Lebanon Recreation, Arts & Parks - Young Professional of the Year
An individual between 18 - 40 years old who has demonstrated extraordinary civic commitment and leadership.
Mac’s Maple - Retail/Hospitality Business of the Year
A retail, hospitality, or restaurant business that demonstrated exemplary business practices and commitment to the community in 2021.
SILO Distillery - Products/Services Business of the Year
A business in the products or service industry that demonstrated exemplary business practices and commitment to the community in 2021.
Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital - Healthcare/Wellness Business of the Year
A business or organization in the healthcare or wellness industry that demonstrated exemplary business practices and commitment to the community in 2021.
Upper Valley Haven - Nonprofit of the Year
A nonprofit organization that demonstrated exemplary business practices and commitment to the community in 2021.
Jennifer Karr, River Valley Club - Volunteer of the Year
A person who has given their time and talent to an organization located within the Upper Valley region.
