Q: For those who haven't been, how would you describe Soulfully Good Café?
A: We want the cafe to be an inviting and friendly place. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy the experience.
Q: What's on the menu at Soulfully Good Café?
A: Our menu is made up of primarily paninis and salads. I like to describe them as high-end paninis and salads. Chef Matt puts a lot of thought and attention into each meal.
Q: What is your most popular menu item?
A: For our breakfast it would definitely be “The Local,” which is two eggs, bacon, and cheese on a freshly baked croissant. Lunch would be the chicken provolone panini.
Q: What is your favorite menu item and why?
A: Dashia's is the veggie wrap. It is the perfect blend of hummus and veggies. Seth's is the pulled pork panini. The pork is seasoned and the house-made barbecue sauce is perfect.
Q: Where is Soulfully Good Café located?
A: We are located at 67 Central Street in Woodstock, Vermont, directly across from the Bar Harbor Bank.
Q: When are you open?
A: Our kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 9 am until 1:30 pm. From July until October, we are going to do an evening service on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8 pm. Once the kitchen closes, we sell coffee and pastries for 30 more minutes.
Q: Where do you get your recipes from?
A: Our chef comes up with the food and he is great.
Q: What do you love about Soulfully Good Café?
A: I love that we get to meet new people from all over on a daily basis. We like to think that our kindness and great food can help people to have a better day.
Q: What are some of the challenges of running a restaurant?
A: I believe the hardest part of this business is not knowing how to plan. You want to have enough fresh items while also limiting waste by the end of the day.
