The Hanover Conservancy is the oldest local land trust in New Hampshire. Our mission is to protect land and water in our community and to nurture an appreciation for Hanover’s natural environment among those who live and work here. A private, non-profit membership organization, the Conservancy is not affiliated with town government, but works closely with our civic partners.
The Conservancy leads active programs in land conservation, outdoor education, stewardship of our natural areas, and advocacy for environmentally sound public policy. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about us and the outstanding natural and human communities we serve.
Reviews
The Hanover Conservancy leads outdoor trips and indoor events during every season that are free and open to the public. Through them, we've explored vernal pools and historic cellar holes, snowshoed on a moonlit night to a bonfire, learned to identify animal tracks and caught/identified all sorts of creatures in Mink Brook. To be notified for upcoming trips, you can follow their Facebook page, or subscribe to a monthly newsletter at www.hanoverconservancy.org. As members, we also receive a seasonal trip card that includes the level of difficulty, which makes it easy to plan family outings.
