Connecting to Nature with Photography

Many people say the camera is a barrier between ourselves and nature. But with the right technique, cameras help us discover features and feelings hidden in our wild places. Join us for an evening exploration of Ethan Allen Park, using our cameras to find deeper connections with local nature. Sean Beckett will fuse compositional technique, camera skills and ecological inquiry to teach workshop participants how to make photography part of their naturalist toolkit. This workshop is open to all. No photography experience is required, but participants must bring their own camera (even iPhones or other smart phones are fine!).
Workshop Leader Bio: Sean Beckett is a naturalist and wildlife photographer who connects people to nature by-way-of their camera lenses. Sean is an alum of UVM’s Field Naturalist graduate program, a Burlington native, and a world-class wildlife photography guide.
