Make time for that special child in your life. Join Museum Coordinators, Maddie Dusseault and Susan Quinlan for a workshop of creativity in the Great Stone Dwelling. You and your child will have an opportunity to handcraft old-fashioned holiday decorations and gifts. Morning Activities (4 – 7 year old) include: Ornaments Add a little imagination, to paint and decorate a natural wood ornament. Hung with twine, these personalized decorations will add a charming rustic addition to your Christmas decor. Candle Making Handcraft your own beeswax sheet candles. We will provide instructions and all supplies for you to hand roll a set of colorful candles to light for your special holiday festivities. Fragrant Sachets Fill beautiful, reusable, drawstring organza sachet bags, with dried herbs from our garden, balsam needles from the forest and kitchen spices to create a handcrafted set of three fragrant aromas to enjoy this holiday season. Afternoon Activities (8-12 year old) include: Candle Making Handcraft your own beeswax sheet candles. We will provide instructions and all supplies for you to hand roll a set of colorful candles to light for your special holiday festivities. Decorative tray Create a unique serving tray to give to that special someone on your gift list using beautiful botanical napkins, decoupage and acrylic paint. Servings trays and all the supplies needed will be supplied. Plexiglass Bauble Give the gift of herbal goodness straight from the Enfield Shaker Museum gardens this holiday season! Create a plexiglass bauble ornament filled with one of a kind dried herbs and flowers grown right here at Enfield Shaker Museum. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Advanced registration required. Each session is limited to 10 children.
