Dig out the jackets and gloves, and enjoy all that the season has to offer. Autumn brings not only breathtaking foliage and chilly mornings but also many activities for families to do together. Embrace the change in season with a visit to one of the farms or venues here. Then enjoy a few of our “at home” things to do. They all spell family fun this fall!

Outdoor Fun Fall Activities to do with the Family There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, from apple picking to hayrides, and many of them are right nearby.

Apple PickingVisit Poverty Lane Orchard or Billings Farm for amazing selections of apples, including heirloom varieties, and delicious hand-pressed apple cider as well as other family-friendly activities.

Corn Mazes Lots of local farms and orchards offer corn mazes, so grab your GPS (just kidding) and get lost in an adventure. How about a haunted hayride with your corn maze? Check out Vengeance in the Valley for more information!

Pumpkin PatchYou’ll find hundreds of “gourdgeous” pumpkins in the area, and you can learn all about them too while selecting a few to carve with your family. Check out Cedar Circle Farm—just one of many popular destinations to embrace your pumpkin patch experience. You may even meet the Great Pumpkin while you’re searching for gourds with the best Jack O’Lantern potential.

Fall is a great time to channel your inner kid and have lots of fun. With all that’s happening around the region, the whole family can enjoy every last minute of outside weather before Jack Frost arrives!
