Celebrate All Things Maple At The Second Annual Maple Madness Festival In Woodstock

Open House weekend on March 28 and 29 in Woodstock, sponsored by the Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce, Woodstock Pharmacy, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, and Lake Sunapee Bank.
Scavenger Hunt: Pick up a card with the names of participating businesses, trek to each business, and find the maple leaf to get your card stamped. If you or your team has the greatest number of stamps, you will be entered to win a prize: a fantastic bucket full of maple goodies! Scavenge all weekend and turn your card in at the Welcome Center on Mechanic Street before 5pm, Sunday, March 29.
Sap-Bucket Art: Local artists have creatively painted sap buckets on display in businesses around town. Interested in buying one? Place your bid by the bucket (through March 27). Winning bids will be announced at the auction and may be picked up that night or at the Welcome Center on Sunday, March 29.
Sugarhouse Tours: Visit participating syrup makers to experience the process from tap to sap and sugarhouse to table.
Maple Goodies: Enjoy raised donuts with fresh maple cream, syrup on snow, and maple butter popcorn on Saturday, 11am to 1pm on the Village Green.
Maple Taste Around: Join a Maple Celebration and Taste Around at Suicide Six from 6 to 8:30pm on Saturday, March 28! Local restaurants present their favorite maple-themed specialties, from chili to ribs and martinis to dessert. Music by Samirah Evans and Bob Merrill, cash bar, and a silent auction to benefit the Woodstock Area Chamber of Commerce, plus a live auction of two special sap buckets painted by Zack’s Place with auctioneer Norm Frates Jr. taking bids to benefit Zack’s Place. (Tickets $25, $10 for children under 12.)
Muddy Maple Bike Ride: Take an epic gravel-road cycling tour of the rural maple syrup landscape on Sunday, March 29. The destination is a working Vermont sugarhouse. Find out more at Vermont Overland Maple Adventure Ride (VOMAR): http://www.vermontoverland.com/vomar/.
