Alison Raymond says Bouteille Wine & Gift Merchants, LLC, which she co-owns with Marilyn “Em” Harris, was born of her love of the grape and everything related to it. “The Claremont community has much to offer visitors and is definitely an up-and-coming area to visit,” Alison says. “The energy of the shopkeepers and city leadership is evident, and one of the primary reasons we decided it was the perfect time to invest and become part of the next phase of growth that is developing here, supporting a community moving in the right direction and the revitalization of the downtown.”

1  Tomada de Castro Albarino~ an unoaked dry white, one of northwestern Spain's famous white varietals. Excellent with seafood, soups and stews.

2  Three Brooms Sauvignon Blanc ~ the acidity minerality and fruit of this wine are balanced to perfection. A favorite for sipping alone or with friends.

3  La caplana Gavi di Gavi ~ a satisfying wine with a delectable almond finish. 

4  Morgan Highland Chardonnay ~ textbook 2013 climate led to perfect balance of apple, pear, and oakiness. A perfect wine for that oven-roasted chicken.

5  Boom Boom Syrah ~ one of Charles Smith’s home runs. Wine Enthusiast named Charles Smith WineMaker of the Year for 2014. 

6  Torremoron Tinto ~ a village of 94 people helps create this little masterpiece, described as one of the most pure expressions of a Tempranillo.

7  The Grinder Pinotage ~ this South African gem is full to the brim with coffee, mocha, berries, and chocolate. 

8  Christo Lot Number 2~ laden with berries and spice, Robert Parker refers to Marietta Cellars as “one of Californias finest value wines.”

9    Oak Ridge OZV~from 120-year-old ungrafted vines, this lightly oaked plum and black cherry wine should be placed in the center of your table with meat, fowl, and vegetables from the oven.
