In addition, prizes will be awarded for specially marked eggs and to children wearing creative Easter costumes (think bunnies, chicks, eggs, carrots, etc.).
Mud Season Egg Hunt: This festive event is true to the New England season: bring your own basket and rain boots in preparation for any mud you might encounter! In particular, this event is unique because it invites participants to celebrate nature and new birth by getting outside on the trails. Children and their parents walk the Short Trail and collect eggs, and when they return to the Visitors’ Center, they can trade them in for chocolates and other treats and prizes from Laughing Moon Chocolates. The hunt is held from 10am–12pm on Saturday March 26, and after you’ve hunted to your heart’s content, you can head to Laughing Moon Chocolates to meet the Easter Bunny, who will be there from 11am to 2pm. The event is free.
Keene Easter Egg Hunt, Keene, New Hampshire: Sponsored by local candy shops, this community event is free to kids ages 3–8. The hunt begins at 10am on Saturday March 26 at Fuller Park on Washington Street in downtown Keene. Don’t forget to bring your basket!
24TH ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT: This annual Egg Palooza will be sure to delight
every child. It features four “heats” of hunts, from 10:30–11:30, starting with
the youngest age group (1–3) and moving to the oldest (8–10 years) until all the
eggs are found. Merrimack Parks and Recreation and Merrimack Friends and
Families host this event on Saturday March 19, which includes a visit from the
Easter Bunny in the Function Hall from 10–11:30am and a bake sale for charity featuring
delicious Easter goodies. Come hungry and ready to hunt!
