Come sing, dance, and make merry together to celebrate the longest day of 2016.This year the Summer Revels take you to a traditional circus, with ringmaster
 Nils Fredland leading a variety of acts, as well as the audience, in a 
celebration of summer.

The Norwich Green opens at 5:30pm with giant puppets and roving 
performers, craft activities, and food stalls offering locally produced foods for purchase (with proceeds to benefit Revels North) to round out the festival-like atmosphere.

At 7pm, the bugle will sound to announce the Summer Revels performers’ 
parade to begin the show! If you’re in the audience, you’ll be encouraged to 
participate in the almost theatre-in-the-round performance and be a 
part of the festivities. There will be group singing and a lot of 
dancing with clogging, broom dancing, and even Morris dancing to the tune of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” The Mummer’s Play adds to the theatrics, and the event ends in the evening with performers and audience members alike singing and 
dancing as the sun goes down. 


The Summer Revels is a free, family-friendly event featuring choral and community singing, dancing, live music, giant puppets, and theater. It’s an excellent opportunity for community members to participate in a Revels North production. Each year, they look for singers of all ages and abilities. No audition is required; while registration begins in April and rehearsals take place weekly throughout the month of June, the audience is invited and encouraged to be a part of the show every year.
