Saddle Up for the 33rd Annual Wassail Holiday Parade!

mistletoe and merriment, riders and drivers are invited to parade through
Woodstock in fine Victorian holiday attire. Currier & Ives costumes and
19th century Victorian seasonal attire are strongly encouraged. Carolers will
add to the festivities while the local community and visitors gather in
downtown Woodstock to watch participants ride and drive an approximately
two-mile loop including the Woodstock Green where judges await.

Best Group
Best Horse-Drawn Vehicle
Most Seasonally Attired
Most Historic
Best Junior Entry
Judges’ Award
Bring out those saddles and harnesses once again, and join in a merry holiday afternoon.
Please be aware that the Wassail Celebration draws over 2,000 spectators. Participants, please help keep this event safe and fun for spectators and participants alike by bringing two of your own marshals.
Parade Details
12pm to 1pm: Participants gather at the staging area at the Sunset Farm Building on Route 4 east of Woodstock. Packets with bridle numbers will be handed out upon arrival and check-in.
1:15pm: Mandatory Parade Safety Briefing – a participant from each group must serve as a representative.
1:30pm: Parade Line-Up – participants will hitch and mount up in numerical order for the parade.
2pm: Parade Departure from the staging area.
Approximately 2:30pm: awards ceremony and refreshments. Location to be announced at registration.
Cost: donation – $25 suggested donation per horse/rider.
