12 Great Summer Camps in the Upper Valley This 2018

The Upper Valley offers a number of options to keep the young ones entertained and educated during summer break. Here are a few to check out:
Camp Kaleidoscope
The Lebanon Recreation & Parks Department offers day camps for participants ages 5–6, 7–8, and 9–12. There is also a Leader-in-Training (LIT) program for ages 13–14. The weekly fee for residents is $140 and for non-residents $180, which includes pick-up and drop-off. Drop-off is available beginning at 7:30 am, and pick-up ends at 5 pm, as the camp day is 8:30 am to 4 pm.

The Dance Collective
The Dance Collective offers day camps for students 3 to 8 years old and dance intensive camps for students 8 to 18. The sessions for both age ranges start at the end of June and go through August.

Challenger Sports
Challenger Sports offers a number of summer soccer camps around the Upper Valley for all age ranges. Their mission is advancing each player’s development and providing memorable and positive experiences through the sport.

Upper Valley Aquatic Center
Upper Valley Aquatic Center offers a lot of different classes, along with after-camp care and lunch packages.

River Valley Club
The River Valley Club (RVC) offers summer camps for junior tennis players ages 6 to 13. Camps run Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to12: 30 pm.

AVA Art Gallery
If your child loves to create, the AVA Gallery and Art Center offers summer art camps for ages 5 through teens. Music, architecture, nature, robotics, painting, and sculpture are just a sampling of what your camper can explore in either half-day or full-day camps.

The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen
The League of N.H. Crafstmen offers a plethora of summer camps featuring just about any art style you can imagine—metals, mixed media, pottery, jewelry making, and more. The camps take place at the gallery located at 13 Lebanon Street in Hanover.

Northern Stage
Got a budding actor in your household? Northern Stage is offering theater camps for kids 6 to 13 years old in White River Junction. These take place the last week of June. The focus is on either fables and fairy tales or Broadway productions.

For your nature enthusiast, Vermont Institute of Natural Science offers Nature Camps for kids ages 4th through 8th grade. Billings Farm
Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock is offering two summer camp options this year for kids ages 8 to 12. One is the Living History Camp, where kids will learn what it was like to live on a farm in 1890s Vermont. The other is the Junior Farmer Camp, for any kid who wonders what it’s like to be a farmer.
