Woodstock Country Club is known as one of the top 100 golf resorts in the world and number 3 in New England. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, the course highlights the beauty of the Kedron Valley and runs to just over 6,000 yards from the back tees. 2. The Quechee Club
The Quechee Club offers two golf courses designed by architect Geoffrey Cornish: The Lakeland course, with its panoramic views and holes that wind along the edge of the Ottauquechee River, and the more challenging Highland course with its path passing through different hillside elevations. 3. Killington Resort Golf Course
Killington Resort golf course was also designed by Geoffrey Cornish. The 6,186-yard, par 72 championship course features mountain terrain and snowmelt streams. It is open to the public through October 14. www.killington.com
4. Okemo Valley Golf Club
Okemo Valley Golf Club is a championship heathland course with amazing views of the Green Mountains. This is a par 70, 18-hole course that measures 6,400 yards. Fairways feature dips, ripples, and rolls, and the greens are sculpted to reward your short game. www.okemo.com
5. Tater Hill Golf Club

Fore-U Golf Center isn’t a course per se. It does have two 18-hole mini golf courses, and one is ADA accessible. There is also a driving range with 50 artificial driving stations and 20 grass tee stations, plus a short-game practice area. 8. The Carter Country Club
Carter Country Club in Lebanon is the only 9-hole course in New Hampshire. Designed by golf course architect Donald Ross, the club opened in 1923. It is a 3,000-yard, par 36 courses with 4 sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. www.cartercc.com

Stratton Mountain is a 27-hole championship golf course that has hosted six LPGA tournaments. It is also the home of the Stratton Golf School, founded by Arnold Palmer in 1969.
