Dartmouth is organizing a year-long program of events in 2019 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the College. Each event is designed to capture the College’s unique character, indelible spirit and rich history. On two special occasions across the country and around the globe, monumental landmarks will be lighted Dartmouth green. The first is the kickoff celebration was on January 12 in New York City, and the second is on December 13 in Boston to commemorate the day Dartmouth’s Charter was signed. Members of the Dartmouth community will be invited to share images of the greenlit sites on social media using #Dartmouth250, and their posts will be pulled into a feed on the 250th website so the lights can be seen around the world.
