Bentleys was known for its unique art, antiques, photos, and other memorabilia collected over the years, and most recently proudly paid tribute to the rich and colorful history of Woodstock. In 2013, a new team of entrepreneurs, John G.F. Ruggieri-Lam and Maria L. Freddura, created Stonewall of Woodstock, Corp. to purchase and operate the establishment, due to the former ownership group in being in danger of bankruptcy. Under its most recent ownership, the restaurant hosted business functions, family gatherings, and other special events in its private dining rooms.
Off-site catering was also offered, with Bentleys capable of handling anything from small business parties to elaborate weddings and other occasions.
According to articles by the Valley News and WCAX, the building where Bentley’s existed for 42 years is in need of some cosmetic work. However, speculation in the Valley News story led readers to believe a new tenant could occupy the building as early as July of this year, “the start of the primary tourist season.”
