Or maybe you want all the luxuries -- like running water -- and only a slice of the outdoors? There's a little something for everyone when it comes to camping in the Upper Valley.

Quechee/Pine Valley KOA Campground

Tucked away in White River Junction is the Quechee/Pine Valley KOA (Kampgrounds of America) campgrounds. Here, you'll find fully-equipped lodging houses as well as campsites perfect for an RV to roll in, perfect for people looking to enjoy everyday comforts in a nature setting. There are also great tent sites available for the more hard-core campers. 

Explore the beautiful Quechee Gorge, "The Little Grand Canyon of New England," as well as the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail of VT. There's plenty to do around here! Also, each June around Father's Day, the 40th Annual Quechee Hot Air Balloon Craft and Music Festival is hosted nearby.

Quechee State Park

Cruise along Route 4 and you will stumble across Quechee State Park campgrounds. Surrounded by gorgeous, green sights with the nearby Ottauquechee River, this park is definitely a destination spot. 

RV and tent sites are available to anyone looking to appreciate the landscape. You will also find a park interpreter who is happy to educate you on the history of the site, as well as some events that occur throughout the year. Step outdoors into nature here!

Silver Lake State Park

Not too far from Woodstock in Barnard, VT is Silver Lake State Park. This popular campground has tent and RV sites that are perfect for families looking to explore the nearby areas. Along with the campground, you will find a beach and picnic area.

Silver Lake itself has 84 acres of shoreline and is the ideal fishing spot for some relaxing summer fishing. You can also enjoy paddling and canoeing, which are for rent on site, with only a few motorboats passing by. It's ideal for families looking to relax in a recreational setting.

Coolidge State Park

A hop, skip and a jump away from Woodstock is a little getaway campsite in Plymouth, VT. Step back into the 1930s with this park, and enjoy what nature has to offer. Hiking is the focal point for this campground and park, so if that is the experience you're looking for, this is the perfect place! 

As the centerpiece of the 21,500 acre Calvin Coolidge Forest, Coolidge State Park is the only Vermont with an entire loop of lean-to campsites. Get ready for dramatic mountain views of the Black River valley and the Green Mountains. Grab your hiking gear and head out to Plymouth!

Mascoma Lake Campground

If you're looking for a little weekend getaway, Mascoma Lake Campground in Lebanon, NH is what you're looking for. The lake is the ideal family-friendly location, with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. 

If non-motorized boating is more your speed, there are rentals available on site. There are also plenty of hiking spots and opportunities to sit back and enjoy a good book. The 5-mile shoreline of Mascoma Lake is the center point for each campsite, which is nestled on Shaker Mountain. Bring your friends and pets to this camping destination today!
