Apr 24, 2023 03:42PM ● By Stephanie HatleyThe Upper Valley Music Center also has a Suzuki Program for students interested in enrolling in lessons for cello, viola, or violin. Parent Info sessions are held on Zoom for parents of new students. Suzuki Program Coordinator Alicia Casey explains the plan for the semester, provides information about instruments, and answers questions. The cost ranges from $695 to $1,165 for the semester.
If you’re a parent of a little one, the Upper Valley Music Center has weekly classes just for you and your child, too! The early childhood music department has Rhythm Kids to help kids build rhythmic skills through drumming, movement, song, and games. It’s held Tuesdays at 1:30pm or Wednesdays at 4pm and lasts 45 minutes. Specifically designed for kids ages four to six with their caregivers, Rhythm Kids is a 10-week class led by Erin Smith and Katie Kitchel. The cost is $185.
In addition to Rhythm Kids, the Upper Valley Music Center also has two Music Together classes: one for mixed ages and their caregivers and one for babies and their caregivers. The class for mixed ages has offerings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays while the class for babies is only offered on Tuesdays at 9:30am. These 45-minute classes are led by Erin or Katie and help young children develop an appreciation for music and develop musical skills through lullabies, child-friendly instruments, and more. These classes are also $185 for the 10-week period.
