Where To Pick Your Own Fruit In The Upper Valley

Fresh fruit. The taste of a season. There’s nothing like a fresh strawberry, a ripe peach, or a juicy watermelon. The quick way to get fruit is going to the store. What you trade for convenience is less flavorful fruit.

If you want to enjoy fresh fruit from local farmers, here are a few Pick Your Own options to consider.


Wellwood Orchards

Located in Springfield, VT, Wellwood Orchards brings farm life to the public. With Pick Your Own fruit, cider and wagon rides in the fall, festivals, and more, you can enjoy the farm experience with your family.

Edgewater Farm

Edgewater Farm in Plainfield, NH, offers Pick Your Own strawberries in the early summer. Prices are $7 for a quart, $25 for a medium picking box, and $44 for a large picking tray.

Cedar Circle Farm

In East Thetford, VT, you’ll find Cedar Circle Farm, a nonprofit. This farm and educational center has Pick Your Own fruits, veggies, and flowers for about half of the year. Strawberries can be picked in mid- to late June, flowers in mid-June to early September, Blueberries in mid- or late July to August, apples in late August to October and pumpkins in October.

Riverview Farm

Located in Plainfield, NH, Riverview Farm offers Pick Your Own berries, pumpkins, squash, flowers and more. If you come to the farm without something to carry your haul, you can check in at the counter and see if there are any bags available. For those picking pumpkins, there are a few wagons available to borrow.
