Slow Flow Yoga at The Climb Fitness Center
According to Yoga Teacher Training, Slow Flow allows beginners to create their own synchronized dance, while learning poses and how to move, breathe, and stretch between poses. The practitioner has time to evaluate how and when a pose should be modified, due to physical limitations or limitations in experience. The pace may be slower, but it is still challenging. Slow flow allows a person to become familiar with his or her body, create a reflective pause, and create the time to go inward.
The Climb is located at 223 Hotel Road in Brownsville, with beautiful, scenic views of Mount Ascutney.
Restorative Yoga at Upper Valley Yoga
Restorative Yoga is exactly what it sounds like – a combination of gentle yoga and restorative poses. Restorative postures use multiple props to support the body so that you can hold poses for longer than is typical in an active practice. This nourishing support allows you to open the body through passive stretching. The postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses with the addition of blocks, bolsters, and blankets to eliminate strain. This class is generally offered once a month.
The studio’s philosophy is rooted in the firm belief that everyone can do yoga. Upper Valley Yoga’s diverse offerings reflect that belief: they meet you where you are while helping you build the tools to grow, and encouraging you to listen to your own body’s wisdom. Most of their intermediate and advanced classes revolve around fun and mindful vinyasa flow that draws on the lineages of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anusara Yoga.
Upper Valley Yoga is located at 58 North Main St., Unit 206, in White River Junction.Water Classes at The CCBA

The River Valley Club (RVC) offers more than 100 group fitness classes every week that are included with membership. There are a variety of different options, one of which includes multiple different offerings for those interested in spinning. Classes range from beginner to advanced and there are eight instructors specializing in this popular indoor cycling workout class.
“To be able to take the people in the class on a fun journey thru the world of spinning, from the start helping set up the bikes thru the eventual end of the ride helps keep me inspired,” says Gabrielle, one of the instructors. “The class atmosphere is always fun and focused on the overall ride experience and form of each rider. The music is part of the experience and you will be riding to some eclectic and possibly wacky selections to help thru the exciting journey I will be taking you.

Boxing at KDR Fitness
This 45-minute class is offered multiple times per week as a part of the gym’s team training program. Having been involved in the fitness industry for more than 15 years, owners Ben Dearman and Jamie Crowe became increasingly frustrated at the “poor standards and lack of good customer service” in the industry.
Knowing there was a better model out there – the training centric model, Dearman, and Crowe set out to utilize a model built on the idea that membership should include all the tools you need for success – easy and affordable access to professional help with great member results in a welcoming atmosphere.
New members can sign up risk-free for a 30-day trial, where they can test out small group or team training sessions and work one-on-one with a coach. KDR Fitness is located at 75 Bank St. in Lebanon.
